You must have some questions....
We have the answers!
Indeed. This is a fully hosted, all inclusive weekend retreat. Your cabin reservation secures your three night stay and includes round trip airport transportation during scheduled shuttle windows, all meals, and all activities throughout the weekend. The only potential exceptions may be horseback riding and skeet shooting. We will confirm those details as we finalize the activity schedule.
We are still early in the planning phase but essentially we'll be setting the weekend up like a mini adult summer camp. The list of possible activites outside of the actual wedding: guided yoga, guided hikes, sauna, 24/7 gym, tennis, pickleball, a day at the lake, skeet shooting, ropes course, archery, horse back riding, pool lounging, movies under the stars, bonfires, nighttime capture the flag. The venue has endless options. We will be working with the onsite coordinator to put together a custom itinerary based on whatever floats our boat.
The first step of your RSVP is securing your cabin. Securing your cabin includes: Your ride back and forth from the airport, cabin for the full three night stay, all your meals and all activities (the only possible exceptions being horseback riding and skeet shooting)
If you have questions please go check out the FAQ page. We've covered a lot over there.

Next book your cabin by clicking on the RSVP button at the top of this page
When you register be sure to include your roomate. If you need access to the guest list, contact Shannon at shannon@holdywedding2026.com
You will receive an email with instructions on how to secure your cabin via Zelle or Venmo.
If you want to come in early on Wednesday you must RSVP no later than May 31st. These spaces are limited. Please coordinate with Shannon directly at shannon@holdywedding2026.com
We’ll be organizing a 37 person mini bus from Austin Bergstrom to the property. There will be two departure windows on Thursday, September 10th.
First bus at 12:15pm: Timed to pick up after the Southwest flight #1144 nonstop leaving San Diego at 6:30am. Anyone arriving from the midwest and east coast will easily make this trip. Please let us know right away if you book this flight so we can get you on the first shuttle. It will fill up fast with family and the wedding party.
Second bus at 3:30pm: Timed to pick up all other flights arriving before 3pm.
Once you RSVP and share your flight details, we’ll assign you to a shuttle and send pickup instructions.
If you decide to arrive outside of the shuttle windows, Uber/Lyft and rental cars are available. Uber is about $200.
A chartered bus back to Austin–Bergstrom International Airport on Sunday, September 13th will begin loading at 12:30 PM.
If you’re flying to San Diego, we recommend the nonstop Southwest flight #1534 departing at 4:15 PM. That timing allows for a comfortable arrival at the airport without feeling rushed.
As soon as possible Bruther!
We will have two shuttle departures from the airport; one at 12:15pm and another later in the afternoon. If you book one of the recommended flights, you’ll land comfortably within those windows.
For guests coming from San Diego: The best option is Southwest flight #1144 leaving at 6:30am, nonstop arriving at 11:30 AM.
Midwest & East Coast: There are plenty of flights that will get you into Austin before the first shuttle at 12:15pm.
Last chance option: Any flight arriving before 3pm.
If you choose a different airline or arrival time, you’re absolutely welcome to. Just know you may need to secure your own rideshare or rental car. An uber is about $200.
Book your flight, book your RSVP and we will do the rest!
Well, I’m glad you asked.
I’ve always known I would have a destination wedding. I’ve never loved the idea of trying to fit everything into a single evening.
We’re all traveling, and once we’re together, it makes sense to give ourselves real time instead of compressing everything into one fast night.
Arriving on Thursday gives everyone the afternoon to settle in. Friday is a full day to have fun or relax, whatever you prefer. Saturday stays easy during the day, with the main celebration beginning in the early evening. Sunday morning gives us time for brunch and goodbyes without anyone sprinting to the airport at dawn.
It gives us breathing room and time to actually connect and make some fun, memorable moments together.
For the weekend think: Adult Summer Camp.
For the Wedding reception think: Moody. Romantic. Late summer in the Hill Country.
There’s a little something for everyone. Physical activities if you want to move your body. Plenty of shady, quiet corners if you’d rather sit and talk.
Breakfast together in the main hall. Lunch by the lake or pool. Late dinners. Live music throughout the weekend.
It’s designed to feel fun, intimate, intentional, relaxed, and magical.
Yes, there will be food. The entire event starting from dinner when you arrive to brunch the morning you leave will be catered. Snacks will be stashed in your room and in the Rose Room. Some things previous guests have said about the venue's food:
"The chef was SO accommodating … they have so many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner and made sure there was something for every palate.” - Wedding Wire
“I can’t begin to tell you how delicious the food was!!! So hard to find a venue with great food, staff and amenities. The whole family and all the guests are STILL raving about the weekend.” - Wedding Wire
"Let me put any fears to rest, the food was incredible! They went above and beyond and I couldn't be more satisfied! We had multiple people comment specifically about how good the food was all weekend!" - The Knot
Absolutely. Those of us arriving the day before will be getting a few things set up and then spending the afternoon at the pool. If you are down to help out with some simple unpackaging and cabin stocking; we have limited space for early arrivals, but we’re happy to have the help on a first come, first served basis.
The additional night for sharing a room is $175 or $350 for a room to yourself.
Contact Shannon directly to coordinate flight and carpool arrangements.
This is not the best photo of the pool; I promise it’s better in person. The rock formation is one continuous waterfall, and yes, we are allowed to jump off it!
Yes, with caveats.
We have bought out the entire property for a 4 day, 3 night retreat. Not a single day wedding. Your RSVP secures your presence from the first shuttle on Thursday, September 10th, at 12:15 Austin Airport to the last shuttle Sunday, September 13th at 12:30pm. It is not designed to be an a la carte experience. You may choose to arrive at any time just be aware that there is no prorating for late arrivals.
If you arrive outside of our scheduled airport shuttle windows on Thursday, you will need to arrange your own transportation to the property.
We’ve reserved the entire property so everyone will be staying onsite with us.
Part of the magic of the weekend is having everyone in one place. No driving back and forth. No disappearing to hotels. Just breakfast together and late night conversations that don’t have to end early.
If you need quiet or space, there is plenty of it. The property is big and beautifully spread out.
Logicstically keeping everyone onsite also helps us manage the weekend smoothly. We promise it’s the easiest and most fun way to do it.
First off, we love your kid(s). They're really great. But with the exception of our immediate family and the wedding party, we will be strictly enforcing a no kiddos weekend.
This will be an adult weekend, with adult conversation and energy throughout. We won’t be modifying the atmosphere, activities or events to accommodate younger guests.
Thank you for understanding.
We pledge to do our very best by you in this catagory. Couples will have cabins to themselves. Single folks can pair up with other guests. If you aren't paired up we will make sure to pair you up with someone you will be compatible with. Please contact shannon@holdywedding2026.com directly if you need access to the guest list.
Remember, this is summer camp vibes, not the Four Seasons. If you prefer complete privacy, you are welcome to reserve a private cabin.
And truly, truly if someone is just snoring like a truck driver there will be options to move you during the weekend. We’ve thought this through. No need to stress.
Some say it’s hot. Some say it’s nice. Both are probably right. It’s late summer in the Texas Hill Country, so plan for warm days and temperate evenings.
The Ceremony will be outdoors under the trees around 5:00 PM. It will be warm, but shady so just think breathable fabrics. Sundresses, lightweight suits, linen, and airy materials will all work well.
Although it may sound counterintuitive, a lightweight tropical wool or wool-silk blend suit is actually one of the best options for the men. Tropical weight wool or wool silk blend breathes better than you might expect. It will regulate temperature, keep you cooler, look sharper in photos, and hold its shape better than linen all through cocktail hour and the reception. The groom and groomsmen will all be wearing suits made from this fabric.
The walk to the Ceremony is along a dirt path, so polished but practical footwear is a good idea. If you’re planning to wear heels, you may want to bring a pair of walking shoes for getting to and from the ceremony. Or maybe hitch a ride on a golf cart ;)
Cocktail Hour and the Reception will take place at sunset on turf and concrete, so heels will be perfectly fine once you’re there.
For the full weekend, plan for:
Welcome Dinner
Ceremony & Reception
Good Bye Brunch
Lightweight, breathable clothing
Rugged clothes for physical activities
Comfortable shoes for walking the property
Something for the lake or pool
A light layer for the evening
As we get closer, we’ll share a more detailed style guide and packing list so you don’t have to overthink it.
The cabins are lined with warm wood interiors, private bathrooms, air conditioning, and cute little vintage inspired refrigerators. King size beds for couples or two twin size for folks sharing a room. Big windows let in beautiful natural light and look out onto the trees.
Each cabin is surrounded by juniper and live oaks, which provide shade and make the views out the window feel peaceful and tucked away.
Yep, there will be a lot of walking. Some of us plan to rent golf carts. We need to move around the wedding party, kava, vendors and equipment, our parents etc. These won't be available to guests.
You are welcome to rent a cart, but if everyone rents one, we’ll have about 65 golf carts flying around, which feels excessive. Try to coordinate with others.
If you don’t rent a cart, you’ll likely catch rides throughout the weekend. If someone gives you a lift, be a champ and barter your hidden talent, sing a song or throw them a little Venmo love. Personally, I'd prefer a 15 minute foot massage. Whatever floats the boat you know?
Golf carts do not need to be reserved in advance. You can wait until you arrive and decide if it makes sense for you.
Delivery is usually quick, often within a couple of hours, and the rental company keeps plenty in stock.
